Health and Safety

  • You must use the main entrance/exit when entering or leaving a centre, unless requested to do so by a member of staff in exceptional circumstances.
  • Check in at reception so the team are able to monitor maximum occupancy levels and are aware who is in the building in an emergency.
  • Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and you must not interfere with or block fire doors for any reason.
  • You must read the health & safety notices posted in a centre and comply with their recommendations.
  • You must complete a Health Commitment Statement as requested by us before using any fitness facilities.
  • You must comply with any reasonable requests made by the members of staff in relation to matters of health and safety.
  • You may not use the facility while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilizers or any medication or other substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely.
  • Not consume, store, or bring into the facility any food or drink of any kind of glass container.
  • You may not bring pets (other than guide or assistance dogs) onto the centre premises.
  • When using communal showers, you must wear swimming attire.
  • A member of staff with the support of a Duty Manager may, at any time, ask you to leave the centre if you are jeopardising the safety or enjoyment of others.
