Improving your Centres

Exciting improvements coming to All Seasons Leisure Centre in Chorley

All Seasons Leisure Centre is set to undergo an exciting transformation which will see substantial upgrades and expansions across the centre aimed at enhancing the facilities and experience for all visitors.

The refurbishment will feature a full and extensive upgrade to the gym facilities, including an expansion to create larger, more flexible spaces for weight training, resistance training, and a new dance studio. The larger floor space and mezzanine area will accommodate state-of-the-art equipment, providing members with a top-tier fitness experience.

Visitors will also benefit from a complete refurbishment of the dry side changing rooms, including the showering facilities and toilets. These upgrades will ensure a more comfortable and modern environment for all users.

A new poolside walkway will be constructed to allow for additional swimming lessons, supporting the community's growing demand. Furthermore, the family pool will see the introduction of new children's water play areas.

Jennifer Mullin, Director of Communities and Leisure at Chorley Council said, "We're delighted to be able to let people know about the exciting range of improvements and enhancements set for All Seasons.

"We know how important it is for people to have quality leisure services locally and we've already invested in the centre with recent upgrades to the group exercise studios.

"These new improvements will ensure that All Seasons continues to be a high-class facility in Chorley.

"We are keen to involve our customers and residents in this process and will be producing a survey to find out what they would like to see in the children's water play areas.

"We'll be sharing more information on the ways people can get involved soon."

Solar panels will also be installed in line with the council's commitment to sustainability. This initiative will help reduce the centre's carbon footprint and make its operations eco-friendlier.

The project will be funded by Chorley Council, with a contribution provided by the Sport England Swimming Support Fund.

Brinscall Swimming Pool £600,000 restoration work is nearly complete

The local landmark has benefited from a once in a generation investment, to ensure it remains in use for decades to come.

We are pleased to say that restoration works at Brinscall Swimming Pool are completed, ensuring that this cherished landmark can remain a hub of community activity for generations to come.

Not only has there been repair work to the pool structure, but the funding will also include refurbishing the poolside facilities - all in keeping with the historic nature of the pool.

We have now reopened the pool on a phased basis and will update when we have further information.

The restoration works have included:

  • Full repair to the basement structure of the pool and tanking
  • Replacing tiling in the pool, walkway, changing area and shower facilities
  • New changing facilities, WC facilities and shower facilities
  • New flooring and bench seating on balcony
  • Updated staff office area

There are finishing touches planned for the next few weeks, including lighting, air handling and decoration.

All Seasons Leisure Centre Studio Extension

All Seasons Leisure Centre has also seen investment to extend the group fitness studios, to help with demand. Works are almost complete on the ground floor front studio (it is open and in use, but we will add specialist lighting in the coming weeks), while the first-floor activity studio has been up and running since earlier this year.

The first-floor activity studio is now the main hub for group exercise classes, with new flooring and full-length mirrors.

The ground floor front studio will become the cycling studio, focusing on creating the ultimate environment for spin classes. There will be new flooring, atmospheric lighting, and air conditioning for added comfort.

As always, if you have any questions about the works please speak to reception or contact us.
